Coming into the 8th Annual Men's Hockey Challenge Cup tournament in Barrie, there had never been a two-time winner of the title.   Well - now there is - the St. Lawrence Cornwall Sharks.

It was a long road - in more ways than one - for the Sault Cougars women's extramural hockey team to the Challenge Cup in Brantford.  But in the end, the journey proved to be the reward as the Cougars emerged with the 2016 Challenge Cup title.

As the 2016 Women's Hockey Challenge Cup gets underway in Brantford this afternoon, the top-rated St. Lawrence Cornwall Sharks are looking to three-peat as champions.   But don't  Sharks coach Sean Boulerice they are the odds-on favourites to take it all again.
